Description

Tubervac® BCG Vaccine, manufactured by Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd., is a live attenuated vaccine derived from the Moscow strain 361-I of Mycobacterium bovis. It is used for the prevention of tuberculosis (TB), particularly in infants and children in areas where TB is prevalent. The vaccine is administered via an intradermal injection, typically at birth or during early childhood, as part of the national immunization program.

Tubervac® is presented as a freeze-dried powder in a 1 ml glass vial, which is reconstituted with the provided diluent before administration. The vaccine should be stored under refrigeration at 2–8°C and protected from freezing to maintain its efficacy.
